13 trains cancelled

LUDHIANA: Passengers had a harrowing time as rough weather hit railway traffic in the region. Thirteen long-route trains were cancelled and most trains on Amritsar-Ludhiana-New Delhi section were running behind schedule today.

Passengers had a harrowing time as rough weather hit railway traffic in the region. Thirteen long-route trains were cancelled and most trains on Amritsar-Ludhiana-New Delhi section were running behind schedule today.

Morning Shatabdi Express trains (12014 and 12029), New Delhi-Ludhiana Shatabdi (12037), 14682 Jalandhar-New Delhi Intercity Express and 12497 New Delhi-Amritsar Shane-Punjab Express trains were running late by 40 minutes to 2 hours. Another Intercity train – 12459 New Delhi-Amritsar Express was rescheduled for late departure by 1.30 hours.

According to the Railways, 12241/42 Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh Intercity Express, 13151/52 Kolkata-Jammu Tawi-Kolkata Sealdah Express, 14502 Jammu Tawi-Bathinda Express, 14674 Amritsar-Jaynagar Shaheed Express, 15209/10 Saharsa-Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Express, 15707/08 Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar Amrapali Express, 15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Jannayak Express, 18104 Amritsar-Tatanagar Jallianwala Bagh Express, 19614 Amritsar-Ajmer Express trains were cancelled.
