1 hurt as drunken youths open fire

Kurukshetra: A dhaba worker sustained bullet injury on Thursday night when a group of drunken youths opened unprovoked fire. He suffered injury in the right foot. Satish Kumar, owner of the dhaba on NH-44 at Samani village, said six-seven youths came to the dhaba in an SUV in inebriated condition. He said they allegedly tried to manhandle Pradeep, his business partner, over honking of the horn. Dhaba workers came to his rescue. In the meantime, youths allegedly opened four bullets and Mangal sustained injury. He was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Civil Hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable. The accused fled the crime spot. TNS
