Members of the Rotary Club, North, led by president Rotarian Balvinder Saini, held a campaign to make people aware of the traffic rules. Commuters enjoyed the campaign during which a person dressed as ‘Yamraj’ asked them to wear helmets and seat belts or be ready to go with him.

Rotary Club, North, president Balwinder Saini said with the increase of vehicles on roads, accidents had also been increasing.

Assisting the Yamraj, Talwinder Singh, City Traffic in-charge, said despite of all attempts, people were not ready to wear helmets. It was not wise to risk your life.

Traffic Awareness Project in-charge rotarian Rajneesh Guliani said: “We see many young people driving rashly’, putting commuters and their own lives in danger.

Meanwhile, the Yamraj kept asking people to follow traffic rules and gave roses to those following them. Also, those who did not wear helmets, were scolded by him and were asked to follow the rules.
