Youth Congress demands Akbar’s resignation

NEW DELHI:Activists of the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress today protested near residence of Union Minister MJ Akbar demanding his resignation following sexual misconduct allegations levelled by several women journalists.

Activists of the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress today protested near residence of Union Minister MJ Akbar demanding his resignation following sexual misconduct allegations levelled by several women journalists.

The activists gathered at the Teen Murti roundabouts, raised slogans against the State Minister for Foreign Affairs and marched towards his residence. But, they were stopped by the police.

Leading the protest, vice president of the Indian Youth Congress, BV Srinivas demanded Akbar’s “immediate resignation” saying he has no moral right to continue in his post.
