‘I am obedient like Lakshman’

Arun Mandola, who is currently seen as Lakshman in Sony Entertainment Channel’s Vighnaharta Ganesh, talks to us about the show and more

This is the second time you are playing Lakshman. What is so special about your look in the show?

The first specialty is that I got long hair that I always wanted and second thing my costume is more attractive than that of others.

How much time do you take to get ready for the role?

It takes approximately 90 minutes for me to put on the entire look.

Which quality of Lakshman do you think you have?

I am an obedient person like Lord Lakshman and sometimes get very angry when people try to tease me or make unnecessary comments.

Are you a younger brother in your real life?

No. I am not younger but I always wanted to be the younger brother. I am the elder brother in my family and there are lots of responsibilities for an elder brother but luckily I am fulfilling my wish through this character.

Ram and Lakshman’s kind of equation doesn’t exist in the current time. What do you have to say?

Everybody wants to have an equation like that of Ram and Lakshman but it is difficult because they are Gods.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Five years back I was standing in an audition queue. Today, I don’t need to give my introduction to anyone. Of course, I see myself as an actor for the next five and many years to come.

Circumstances made me an introvert and I love the way I am because whatever good or bad things happen, I can discuss everything with me and it gives me a lot of strength.

What’s your life’s philosophy?

Always give the right advice to people irrespective of he/she is your friend or enemy.
