‘BJP to field more women in parliamentary elections’

SONEPAT: Vijya Rahatkar, national president of the women wing of the BJP, said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah had decided to give more representation to women in the coming parliamentary elections.

Vijya Rahatkar, national president of the women wing of the BJP, said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah had decided to give more representation to women in the coming parliamentary elections.

She was interacting with the office-bearers of the state women wing of the party at the PWD rest house at Rai in the district keeping in view the Prime Minister’s visit to Kurukshetra on February 12. “The party leadership has taken an initiative by giving more representation to women in the panchayat and municipal elections,” she added,

Haryana Women and Child Development Minister Kavita Jain, state president of the party women wing Nirmala Bairagi, vice-president Kavita Chaudhary, state general secretary Kiran Bala and other office-bearers Nirmala Khatri, Raj Rana and Kiran Joshi attended the meeting.
